All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:The thuja grows very fast and needs to be fertilised with a generic liquid fertiliser (NPK 19:19:19) once every two week for a good growth.
Repotting : Repot the plant once it has overgrown the current pot. Use fresh soil with organic matter at the time of repotting.
Propogation : Thuja can be propagated through seeds, air layering, or vegetatively in summers through fresh cuttings.
Why is my Thuja browning at leaf tips?
Thuja needs regular watering and the soil needs to be moist (but not soggy) at all times. A plant that is under 3 years needs to be watered every other day for lush green foliage.
My thuja is growing too big, what do I do?
If not pruned, the Thuja will grow unchecked into a conical shape, but it loves a good pruning. Prune it at the end of summer, start of spring, or the end of August. While spring pruning (April) will increase growth, fall pruning (August) will slow down its growth for a while.
What are the pests that attack Thuja?
Although majorly pest free, it does get occasional scale, rust, or fire blight infestation that can be damaging.
Light Requirements :These conifers love the full sun but also a moist soil (not soggy). Give it bright direct light or dappled shade for a good growth.
Locations :The Thuja loves areas with bright direct light. Living rooms, bedrooms, balconies, patios, windowsills of West or South facing windows are great locations for your plant.
Styling/decor tip :A great choice to add some forest green to your space and to create a much needed privacy barrier from your intrusive neighbours. Excellent for balconies or patios, they can be pruned to any shape you desire. They are great fits for corners due to their natural conical shape and add the much needed height to any plant arrangement. Pair it with tall planters to further elevate the tall look and make it more premium. It looks the best in floor planters. If you have an aisle way that receives sun, add it to the corners for a patch of green that does not take much space.

Here it is..the deet sheet, just as promised.
Thuja is a really fast grower and loves a good prune for either shaping or controlling the growth. Prune it early spring for more growth, late summer for shaping, or august for slowing growth.
The tips of Thuja drown due to poor water management. The thuja needs to be watered every alternate day when under 3 years and the soil needs to be moist at all times.
The Thuja can grow in almost any soil. However, try and avoid completely loamy soil that retain too much water and get muddy when watered. Also, use organic matter in the soil mix for better growth.
