Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:True to their succulent genes, they need very little care and do better when left alone. Feed your string of bananas with a generic plant fertiliser every two weeks in its growing period from spring to summer.
Repotting : These succulents don’t require repotting and can stay happily in the same pot for more than 2 years. When repotting use a succulent potting mix and don’t disturb the root system. Ensure not to bury the stems.
Propogation : When given the right growing conditions, they are quick growers and can be easily propagated. Simply take stem cuttings and root it in a succulent potting mix, ensuring that at least one leaf node is under ground.

Although the plant does not feature on the ASPCA list of toxic plants. There are reports that claim that the plant is mildly toxic, so it’s better to be cautious.
Light Requirements :The string of bananas love full to dappled sun and make for great plants in windows and patios. They also make for great ground cover in full sunlight areas.
Locations :West or south facing windows along with balconies and terraces are excellent for your string of bananas. Grow them in hanging planters or wall platers to add a quirky touch to your space. Shelves that get full sun are also a great option.
Styling/decor tip :String of bananas have lovely banana shaped leaves hanging from a delicate string like stem. Grow them in wall planters or ones hanging from the ceiling and watch then trail down with flair. We also like them trailing down the side of bookshelves or growing in pedestal planters. Add them to room corners in hanging planters and add interest and drama.
