Its literally an indoor tree, with its glossy green leaves divided into leaflets growing on woody branches. The radermachera sinica a fairly new plant to the indoor gardening world and is also known as the China Doll Plant and has nothing to do with the country and every thing to do with it being like a doll house tree. The radermachera loves brighly lit spaces and does best in corners where they are not disturbed. Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:Feed your Rademachera plant with a generic housplant fertiliser every 3-4 weeks in summer and spring. Fertilise once every 6 weeks in winter season."Feed your Alocasia plant every 2-4 weeks with slow release fertiliser. .
Repotting : Dont repot your radermachera frequently, it loves being root bound. Repot only when the growth seems to have stopped in a slightly larger planter..
Propogation : The China Doll plant can be propagated via 4-6 inch tender stem cuttings in spring and summer. Strip away the lower leaves and plant it in a well-draining potting mix.

Common Problems

1. Why are my Radermachera leaves drooping?
Wrong watering schedule or improper light can cause drooping of leaves. Try changing the watering schedule of your plant and maintain humidity and also change the position of the plant, move it to a brighter spot.
2. Why are my Doll plant leaves curling?
Both under watering and overwatering can cause curling and yellowing of leaves. Fix your watering schedule to correct this problem
3. Why is my plant shedding leaves with proper light and frequent watering?
Although the rademachera loves being in a moist soil, too much watering can also lead to root rot and leaf drop. Water when the top soil is dry to touch.

Light Requirements :Radermachera sinica thrives in bright and indirect sunlight. They grow best when placed in a spot they like and moved as little as possible. Make sure that you are rotating your plant to ensure that all sides get sufficient directional light. Also, keep the plant out of drafts from AC or heater.
Locations :The Rademachera is a great indoor plant. Indoors, make sure you keep your plant next to a window and maintain proper humidity with proper misting. You can also grow your China Doll plant outdoors on covered patios or balconies.
