  • Soak parsley seeds in lukewarm water overnight before sowing.
  • In India, parsley seedlings are generally sown at the beginning of winter season.
  • Sow the seeds indoors, in seedling trays, 0.5 cm deep in coco peat or soilless organic veggie potting mixture.
  • Your parsley seeds will germinate anytime between 14 - 21 days after sowing.
  • Thin out the small, extra, overcrowded seedlings in seedling trays.
  • Let thesegerminated seedlings grow in a seedling tray for 3-4 weeks before transplantation.
  • Keep the seedling tray in semi shade while the germinated seedlings grow.
  • Transplant the healthy seedlings in pots or yard gardens.
  • Use an organic potting mixture to grow your parsley plant.

Caring

  • For better flavour, keep your parsley plant in a sunny outdoor location.
  • Parsley can also grow well with partial sunlight for 3 - 4 hours.
  • Add a handful of vermicompost to parsley plant every 20 days.
  • Look for the early signs fungal infection/ insect infestation. If you notice any symptoms, spray appropriate medicines immediately.
  • Spray Neem Oil/Tobacco extract/soap water to keep insects at bay.
  • 80 - 100 days after transplanting, you can harvest your parsley leaves.
  • Harvest the outer leaves by cutting them at the base of the stalk.
  • Never harvest more than one-third of growing the plant at a time.
Hold the seeds and sow 2-3 seeds per cell/cup. Since Lavender seeds are small in size, do not sow them deep
