Repotting : The Pachira will not need frequent repotting. Repot it every two years in springtime (March – early April) in a rich well-draining potting mix in a larger sized pot.
Propagation : The Pachira can be propagated through cuttings. In summer, take a six-inch (15 cm.) branch cutting with several leaf nodes and remove the leaves on the lower third of the cutting, then either propagate it in water ensuring that at least one leaf node is under water or propagate it in soil with one leaf node under the soil. Ensure that the soil remains moist (but not soggy) at all times.
