See me, before you see me.
All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:Feed the multivitamin plant with a generic well-balanced fertiliser once every month.
Repotting : The multivitamin plant needs to be reported only when it has outgrown its current planter. Plant it in a slightly larger planter in a very well-draining soil with compost.
Propagation : The multivitamin plant or sweet leaf bush plant can be propagated through stem cuttings. Take cuttings of tender stems that is till green and pliable. Remove the lowermost leaves and propagate in water.
1. Why are the leaves of my multivitamin plant turning yellow?
The leaves of the plant might be turning yellow either due to overwatering or underwatering. Check the soil before watering, keep it moist at all times but not soggy. Also, do not keep the soil dry for too long.
2. Why is my plant dropping/shedding leaves?
One of the major reasons for plants to drop leaves is insufficient light. Id your plant is not getting at least partial sunlight through the day, the rate of photosynthesis will decline causing the leaves to drop.
3. Why has my plant stopped growing?
One of the major reasons for plants to stop growing is either nutrient deficiency or if the plant is root bound. Check the drainage holes if the root are protruding out, in which case repot the plant in a larger pot. If the roots are not visible, give your plant more light and a monthly fertilisation with a well-balanced plant fertiliser.
Light Requirements : The multivitamin plant needs full to partial sun though the day.
Locations : Place the plant either in outdoor space like balcony or terrace or place it on a south facing window sill where it can get full day of bright light.
Styling/decor tip : Place the plant in a corner where it get at least 4 to 5 hours of sunlight and prune the top few leaves of the branches after every 6 to 7 inches to promote branching in the plant. This short shrub looks its best when its bushy. Place the elf watering pot in a stunning monochrome ceramic floor planter that offsets its leaves and make the plant look stunning and add beauty to your home.
