All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant: Marva or marjoram does no need to be fertilized once established. Use a well-balanced fertiliser once a month.
Repotting : The marjoram does not need to be repotted. Repot only when the plant outgrows the planter completely and roots are visible above the topsoil and also from the drainage hole.
Propagation : The marjoram or marwa can be propagated through seeds and stem cuttings. Take stem cuttings that are a few inches in size remove the lowermost leaves and plant directly in moist well-draining soil.
1. Why do my marva leaves have rust coloured spots?
Rust coloured spots are a sign of a plant fungal infection called mint rust. The only way to save your plant is to prune away infected parts or take healthy cuttings and propagate a new plant.
2. Why does my marva plant have distorted new growth and yellowing leaves?
Check the underside of leaves. Small soft bodied insects called aphids could be a cause. Prune away the heavily infected leaves and spray the entire plant (leaf underside) with a neem oil solution every few days to get rid of the infestation.
3. Why do my marjoram leaves have black sooty deposition?
Black sooty deposition on leaves that is also sticky in nature is sooty mold fungi. It is a clear sign of pest infestation that secretes a sticky substance called honeydew. Clean the leave with soapy water and pray with neem oil to get rid of pests.
Light Requirements : Marva plant grows in full sun and needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight through the day
Locations :Place your marva plant in a south facing balcony or terrace where it gets full sun. A south-facing window is also a good place for your plant.

Place it on your south-facing window sill in your living room or bedroom to create visual interest and also fill your room with natural fragrance.
