The seeds will germinate in the first 6-8 days and the seedlings will make an appearance in 10-15 days from sowing.
Caring

Spray it with organic pesticide spray, like neem oil, when leaves start to show as a preventive measure against infestations.
Tender Amaranthus leaves can be harvested 20-25 days from growing by cutting the leaves one inch above the soil bed. The next harvesting can be done after 18-20 days when new leaves grow out.
If left unharvested, the Amaranthus plant can grow tall to flower and harvest amaranth grains, that are edible.
Please note that leafy vegetables need at least 3 - 4 hours or proper sun every day.
Common Problems
Why is my Amaranthus plant not growing? Improper growing conditions such as a growing medium deficit in nutrients or improper spacing between the plants can harm the growth of your Amaranth. Make sure you use a good growing medium when planting the seeds. Why are my Amaranthus seedlings turning soft and wilting? Damping off could be the reason why your seedlings are wilting. Damping off is a disease which is most severe under conditions of high moisture , overcrowding and poor ventilation. Damping off leads to wilting of seedlings and these seedlings eventually die. Spray fungicides on young seedlings to avoid damping off. Why are my Amaranthus seedlings not germinating? Improper growing conditions like over watering/ under watering, not enough sunlight or sowing in the seeds too deep can all affect the germination process of your amaranth seeds. Make sure you are following the sowing and growing instructions correctly to ensure successful germination.
