All the plant gossip, through the grapevine. Pun intended
Fertilizer/ feed for the plant: Feed your crassula a balanced but generic indoor plant fertiliser every two weeks. Don't use a fertiliser in winters.
Repotting : Like any other succulent, the crassula variegated doesn't like being fiddled with. Repot your crassula into a pot one size larger every year with a fresh succulent potting mix.
Propagation : Crassula can be propagated by stem cuttings.
1. Why is my Crassula drooping?
Watering your Crassula too little or too much can make it droop. Nevertheless, mushy leaves or stems are a sign of overwatering and wrinkled appearance is a sign of underwatering. Water your Crassula only when the potting mix is dry.
2. Why are leaves falling off my Crassula?
If your Crassula is receiving insufficient water or light, the plant starts to shed leaves. Water your when the soil feels dry, dig your fingers into the potting mix and water your succulent if the top 2-3 inches are completely dry.
3. Why are my Crassula's leaves turning yellow?
Overwatering leaves to yellowing of leaves. These leaves will eventually drop. Check the soil. If the soil is damp, wait for it to completely dry out before rewatering.
Light Requirements : Crassulas can grow well in bright direct to indirect light. This plant grows best when it enjoys four hours of filtered sun daily.
Locations : The Crassula flourishes in bright light. Place your plant on sunny windowsills where it receives filtered light for at least four hours a day. This plant can also be grown outdoors. Direct sun won't harm your plant.
Styling/decor tip : The Crassula is a beautiful ornamental succulent which makes an excellent houseplant. You can pair it with a contrasting pot and place it by a window in your living room or in your bedroom to add a splash of green. It can also be grown outdoors in your balconies. The plant is also said to bring luck and fortune, thus earning a coveted place on study tables and work desks.
